A CAREER FOR EVERYONE
You don't have to have a background in construction, just a willingness to work hard and learn. The Local 157 Apprenticeship is a high-tech program that trains people with little or no knowledge of the craft to become highly skilled and sought-after journeymen.

Apprentices in our program learn about layout, design, construction and installation of piping fabrication as well as all aspects of welding.

We have 2 training locations in Terre Haute and Lafayette. Our members are sent to job sites and classes conveniently located to where they live.
HOW IT WORKS
The Apprenticeship Program teaches both classroom and on-the-job training in which apprentices are assigned to work with contractors. The five-year program is designed to motivate you to learn a challenging and rewarding trade while upholding the ideals of trade unionism.
